Pearl Shorteners are a great way to apply longer strands of pearls or any other type of bead necklace. Simply catch both strands inside of the oval shortener at the desired length, or use with two strands of beads or pearls for a double strand. The Figure 8 Shortener is littler and may be employed on pearls or other beads in the same way as the oval with a littler profile. Both comprise a locking mechanism as well as a safety latch.

Just what I was looking for

I like to borrow my Mom’s pearls for special occasions, but at 23″ they are just a little too long to fall where I like (tough problem to have, right? ). For my wedding, it was important that they fall to the right spot. I asked a couple jewelers about a shortener; one said we would need to restring them at the shorter length (no, thank you) and the other said she could order a shortener for $150. This little guy worked just the way I needed it to and looks just fine–quite a bargain at eight bucks. In fact, now I like that the pearls are “too long” because it gives me a cute little extra loop of pearls on the back of my neck. I knew I could count on Amazon to have what I needed! Shipped very quickly.

This pearl necklace shortner is for small pearls with no extra space. The nickel free will make wearing this shortner safe if you have sensitive skin and now you do not have to worry about a skin rash!!!

I’ve given these to friends; anyone who wears long strands of pearls will love them! Use these to double up a long pearl necklace, or even make it look like three necklaces. Stop getting choked by your heavy pearls.
