The big cans are outstanding for big items such as brushes, kitchen utensils, and tools. The short stubby tins are wondrous for paper clips, nails, and odds and ends. So don’t rule out any size. Materials: Basic Method: Use a ruler to measure the paper. It will have to be the same width as the height of the can. Wrap the paper around the may to determine the length. Cut the paper and leave approximately one inch overlap to glue in place. The edge of the may is very sharp and will have to be covered. Use galore light paper, fabric, or even ribbon. Fold and wrap around the top inside and outside of the may and glue in place with a hot glue gun. Attach a pretty piece of trim; it could be beaded trim, ruffled trim and lace or flowers. If you are an artisan you could likewise use segmentations of old canvas paintings or paintings on paper and glue these onto your tins. How stimulating to find a lot of use for your old stuff! There is always an interesting area within an old painting which may be cut out and recycled. You may formulate the same cans using fabric rather of paper. Follow the same instructions as above.
